One of those crazy-up-in-my-head days

I don't know about you or what it's like where you are in the world,
but here in Rome and back home in Philadelphia,
I feel like ALL of my friends--ok--maybe that's an exaggeration,
Most of my friend,
Are either getting married, having babies, or starting new careers,
Or even 2 of those at a time!

Now I know I have nothing to complain about,
I'm just 23 and I'm living in Rome. That's a dream for a lot of people.
I do love living here, I love traveling and exploring the world,
But I am beginning to crave something solid,
Something firm in my life that wont change.

I know,
This doesn't sound like me at all.
Maybe it's just one of those phases or mood-swings that hit me every now and then.
I'm sure I'll be back to normal tomorrow.

Zis feels Vierd...

It feels weird to be away from the internet for so long,
isn't that sad?
I really shouldn't need it as much as I do.
But it also feels good to be able to post on my blog again!

The sky's been brighter making the sea a bit bluer here in Italy.
Tourists are wearing sandals again
and Trastevere is no longer deserted at 2 am.

What have I been doing with myself?
Absorbing every ounce of sunshine possible,
Enjoying the first two weeks of a new semester of classes
{not being sarcastic there}

Hunting down some good sales in the tiny cobblestone alleys,
My favorite finds?
Some black patent leather oxfords, and little pair of nerdy glasses.

Yesterday was my best friend's birthday,
After a wonderful birthday lunch with friends from Mexico,
We strolled down to Castel Sant'Angelo, sat along the river,
And talked about the adventures we have planed for this Spring.

And it's going to be una bella avventura to say the least!

C'e piu neve!!

It's snowing again in Rome! It's absolutely glorious!
Not only is it beautiful, but as businesses and schools are closing,
{because Romans are not used to this kind of weather}
my English classes were canceled too!

Looking forward to a long 4-day weekend,
Of building snow men on the beach,
Staying up late and drinking massive amounts of hot chocolate.
Oh, and I suppose a little bit of studying too.

I'm sort of thinking of going into Rome,
For the sole purpose of taking pictures. 
But the possibility of all trains being canceled
is not a pleasant thought.

An awkward mood...

I'm in an awkward mood tonight...

Maybe it's because I have been studying these faces far too long...

{For school of course. I'm not that awkward}

Maybe it's because the weather in Rome is awkward...

Or maybe it's because I've eaten too many peanut butter & jelly quesadillas lately...

Exam weeks have made life very awkward indeed.

I cannot wait for that beautiful day when I am finished with all of them!

Let it snow, let it snow, in Rome!

Today la bella Roma was even more bella,
as it was covered in a blanket of white!

Snow in Rome Italy? Who woulda thunk it?

My english lessons were cancelled, as trains were cancelled,
and I was loving just spending time at home with a few girlfriends,
with hot chai tea and the latest episodes of "Pan Am."

And of course a day off also means
spending way too much time on pinterest,
and exploring new blogs.
