R.I.P. 50 million Americans

Though I would love to blog about my night on the beach
learning capoeira, and snapping pictures splashing through the waves with friends,
here in Rome it has been January 23rd for over an hour,
which is a very important day for me.

You see,
39 years ago today a crime was legalized in my country.
More than 50 million American babies have been aborted, and
that's not the kind of thing I brush aside and don't talk about.
I am a passionate person
and what I am most passionate about is people.

Tomorrow Americans will protest in Washington D.C.
Though I would give anything to be there, I am not,
and so I can only pray and hope from here.

I thought I'd share some of my shots from last years march.
